Both doctors completed their surgical residencies at the world-renowned Cedars-Sinai Medical Center right here in Los Angeles, where they trained under some of the nation’s most respected foot and ankle specialists. Dr. Elhiani isn’t just any podiatrist—he’s a double board-certified foot and ankle surgeon who truly cares about getting you back on your feet (literally!). After earning his kinesiology degree from USC, he went on to graduate with honors from the prestigious Samuel Merritt University, College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his surgical residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he served as Chief Resident and assisted in over 300 surgeries.
What makes Dr. Elhiani special? He believes in treating the whole person, not just the foot problem. He speaks English, Spanish, and Hebrew, making care accessible to our diverse West LA community. And when he’s not in the office, you might find him on medical missions in Mexico, Israel, or Honduras, providing surgical care to underserved communities.
Here’s something you don’t hear every day: Dr. Tareen was once a foot and ankle patient himself. That personal experience drives his commitment to getting every patient back on their feet as quickly and comfortably as possible. After attending UC Irvine and serving as President of his Medical University at Barry University in Miami, Dr. Tareen completed his residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he also served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Tareen has worked with professional sports organizations treating athletes’ foot and ankle injuries, and he’s published numerous papers advancing the field of podiatry. His motto says it all: “May your feet take you where your heart yearns to go.”

When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by our warm, friendly staff. Dr. Elhiani or Dr. Tareen will conduct a thorough examination, looking at your feet from every angle. If needed, we can take X-rays right here in the office using our special foot X-ray machine—no separate imaging center visit required.
We’ll discuss your concerns, explain what’s going on in terms you can understand, and create a personalized treatment plan together. We always start with conservative approaches when possible, but if surgery is the best option, we’ll walk you through every step of the process.
